Can you target only local businesses?
One of the benefits of email marketing is the ability to hyper-target by location. If you're in a larger city, this is especially convenient. You can target by zip code, distance from a specific location, city, state, county, region, or even nationwide. The options are extensive and allow you to reach your desired audience with precision.
What kind of response can I expect?
The results of an email campaign can vary depending on the appeal of the offer. According to our aggregated data, approximately 10% of emails sent are opened by the recipient, with a standard deviation of 5%. Out of those who open the email, an average of 10% (or 1% overall, with a standard deviation of 0.5%) will click on a link within the email. Can you target B2C audiences?
While our focus is on business email lists, we have had success with B2C products and services as well. It works best when the product aligns with the profile of a business decision maker, such as luxury goods or homeowner related services.
How fresh is your data?
We clean our email records thoroughly at least once a month and regularly receive additional aggregate data from other campaigns. This helps keep our hard bounce rates low, typically under 2%.
What does "A/B Testing" and "Sequence Automation" mean?
A/B testing allows you to run multiple versions of your campaign and compare their success rates. This way, you can refine and optimize your campaign over time. With this feature, you can also split your outbound volume across multiple campaigns. Automation refers to the process of creating sequences of emails that are scheduled to go out at specific times. For example, you might have an email for day 1, day 7, and day 14. Our gallery provides several examples of this format, which is especially useful when your audience size is limited. Check it out here.
How reliable is your inbox placement?
We partner with leading third-party email service providers to maximize your inbox delivery rate. Our infrastructure partners include well-known names like Amazon SES, SendGrid, Vertical Response, and MailJet. We would typically see inbox placement in the 85-95% range.
Can I include my own email list as well?
Unfortunately, our platform only works with email lists that have been thoroughly verified for reliability and low hard bounce rates. We perform around 500,000 daily updates to ensure that our data stays up-to-date.
Do you send all the emails out at one time or is it spread out?
Emails are sent out consistently on a daily basis, at a steady hourly rate. This approach not only maximizes inbox delivery, but also allows your sales team to effectively handle incoming leads without being overwhelmed.
Why is email marketing inherently cheaper than alternative forms of advertising?
Unlike other advertising mediums like Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn, which are controlled by a central authority and allocate ad space to the highest bidders through an auction system, email is a decentralized protocol and operates differently. The lack of market forces driving up prices in the email space makes it an accessible option for advertisers without the need for high efficiency.
What kind of email templates work well?
In B2B campaigns, casual, intelligent, short, and plain text emails tend to perform best. It's important to avoid using language that may appear spammy, such as all capital letters or excessive exclamation points. Including the recipient's first name or company name in the subject line can significantly increase response rates and help your email stand out as relevant, rather than just another bulk email. A colloquial and concise approach is generally the way to go, with some exceptions. Check out our collection of copywriting examples here, or read this great blog article on the subject.
Will you send to new contacts each month? Or the same ones over and over?
Each month, we send to new contacts as long as your target audience size is sufficient. For instance, if we filter out a list segment of 100,000 local businesses and send 25,000 emails per month, it would take approximately 4 months to complete the campaign cycle. At the end of the cycle, we create a new email template to make sure recipients don't receive the same email repeatedly. We promptly process all unsubscribe requests within the regulated 10-day period, so anyone who opts out of the newsletter will not receive any more emails from us. Additionally, we offer sequence automation options that allow you to create a schedule for emails to be delivered based on whether the recipient has opened the previous email.
